TM Checker helps users discover if a word or logo is potentially available for trade mark registration in Australia. It’s powered by an artificial intelligence-assisted check that gives an initial overview of how distinctive or similar a trade mark might be.
Following a successful pilot phase, the free tool has been moved from its former standalone site to our website, making it easier to find and use.
We have also improved the TM Headstart application process in our Online Services portal by adding the option of performing a TM Checker search. Plus, we’re using details provided by customers to automatically pre-fill sections in their Online Services application – saving valuable time and effort.
These improvements illustrate IP Australia’s commitment to excellent customer experience, supported by modern digital products and systems.
